Consecutive, also known as liaison interpreting, consists in translating what is being said during pauses in speech. This type of service is more likely used in meetings or events with a small number of people.

Small Audiences

During a consecutive interpreting session, the speaker stops every 1–5 minutes (usually at the end of every “paragraph” or complete thought), and the interpreter then steps in to render what was said into the target language. This type of interpreting is usually requested in face-to-face scenarios, such as meetings, court cases, interviews, etc.
